Bikham was founded and incorporated in April, 2005 by Harman Dhawan along with long-time friend and now wife, Sonia Dhawan. It started its operations by providing end-to-end Business Process Management services to global markets. Pivoting on this early success and changing landscape of the IT industry, Bikham’s activities and services were expanded into 4 operating divisions:

Bikham Healthcare

Presently, boasting an 18-year experience in Revenue Cycle Management and 100% client retention, the healthcare vertical of Bikham personifies the core values of its founders. The idea was simple: Empower & Enable.
With clientele including 100s of Physicians, SNF’s, Hospitals, Medical Billing Companies, Laboratories, DME Companies and Ambulatory surgical centers, this vertical has influenced and enhanced the businesses of countless healthcare professionals and organizations. In 2006, Sonia Dhawan took charge of the healthcare division and has since served as its Managing Partner.

Bikham Information Technology

IT has been a part of Bikham since the very inception of the brand. One of our early projects was to create and deploy a SaaS solution to build and manage a highly-secure database of over 5 million users and their critical personal information for a multi-location healthcare organization. From the era of C++, Java, and Python to the present and future of AI and machine learning, this technology-led subsidiary of Bikham provides innovative, professional and adaptive IT solutions and is extra-edge for our clients across the board.

Breaking ground in the Australian & New Zealand accounting industry, ‘Bikham Finance’ formerly ‘Bikham Accounting’ was started simply to reduce the overhead costs of Accounting Firms by providing them scalable and cost-effective solutions. Empowered by its founder’s ‘All In’ approach, the present-day Bikham Finance is partnered with over 110 CPA firms across the United States and continues to grow at a rapid pace in the accounting industry.
In 2020, Bikham Finance is on track to acquire 7 CPAs firms to expand its offerings in the US, particularly in the direct client market.

Bikham Academia

Launched in 2019, Bikham Academia is the academic and training wing of Bikham.
Initially started to meet the in-house demand of qualified medical billing specialists, founders Harman and Sonia Dhawan started Bikham Academia to address two main issues of the Indian education system: ‘Access to skill-based education’ and ‘Education to earning’.
Backed by Bikham’s 14+ years of experience in Healthcare, Bikham Academia equips young professionals with knowledge, skills, and credentials to pursue a career in Healthcare and secure jobs with Bikham or with other esteemed organizations across the country.
Everyday, the Faculty at Bikham Academia is building learning paths & opening new doors for graduates & under-graduates in India and changing lives one career at a time.

Harman Dhawan

Founder & CEO Bikham

A fervent entrepreneur, Harman started his first business in high school, handling and initiating a string of ventures, from a die-casting manufacturing unit to his family’s hospitality business - before starting Bikham in 2005. As a resolute leader and pacesetter, Harman diversified the Bikham brand into three main verticals, starting out with Healthcare in 2005, adding the IT spectrum in 2010 and furthered the brand’s repertoire by adding the Finance & Accounting division in 2013. An avid initiator, he added the education arm Bikham Academia in 2019, providing professional courses and career opportunities in the global healthcare arena. Harman, now 40, consciously left his international business degree at Bond University, Gold Coast, to pursue his entrepreneurial dreams. A decision he very fondly looks back on; it enabled, pushed and gave him the head start and experience he needed and gained in the years to follow. An ambitious and strategic 5-year 2023 vision-plan was designed and devised in 2018. Bikham continues to grow at a substantial pace under his leadership, to reach and establish the envisioned benchmark set by its founder.

Sonia Dhawan

Co-Founder and Managing Partner Bikham

After completing her studies from Melbourne - Australia, Sonia came back to India and started Bikham with her long-time friend and now husband, Harman. She took charge of the Healthcare division in 2006 and has since then served as its Managing Partner. Starting with one small client in 2006 (who is retained until this day), growing to over 500 clients nationwide by 2019. Sonia added the Laboratory Billing division to Bikham’s RCM speciality repertoire in 2016, further adding 6 specialized Lab RCM departments which heavily aided in catapulting Bikham as one of the leading Laboratory Billing service providers. Ever present, unflinching. A full hands on deck approach to all business functions, no matter how small or big, wherein every client can relate with her personally, is only topped by her amiable and altruistic approach towards life and business, alike.

It’s not always business, they both enjoy tennis and are fans of the one handed backhand (we all know who is being talked about here) in particular. And yes, great coffee aficionadas! Enjoying the work day with some great Espresso.
